Store — subscriptions and chart regions

The Store tab has three sections, switched by a segmented control:

Plan — subscriptions. Nautical Charts — chart regions.

Jules Needs — one-time token packs for the AI crew.

A promotion banner at the top shows the current offer, if any.

Plan — subscriptions

The Plan section lists the available subscription levels. Each card shows

the price, the duration, the features included, and a purchase button.

The plan you are currently on is marked Current Plan, and shows when it

next renews — Renews 12 May 2026 — or, if you have cancelled, when it

will lapse — Expires 12 May 2026.

If a plan includes a free trial, the purchase button reads

Try N days Free and a line beneath it confirms No charge today

you are only billed when the trial ends, and you can cancel any time before

then. Plans without a trial show a Cancel anytime reassurance instead.

The Yearly billing option carries a SAVE % badge (or a BEST VALUE

badge while exact savings are still loading) and a "≈ per-month equivalent"

note so you can compare against Monthly at a glance.

The whole Store — Plan, Jules Needs, and the chart-region cards — follows your

device language; on a Turkish device every label, button, and badge is shown

in Turkish.

What the subscriptions unlock:

  • The full Meteo tab — alerts, the 10-day meteogram.
  • The Remote sub-mode of SafeAnchor.
  • Premium Jules officers and faster responses.
  • Comfort scoring and the FORECAST data overlays.
  • Below the plans is a small Add-ons row for à-la-carte unlocks — including

Remote Mode (unlocks the SafeAnchor Remote

channels — creating private channels and flotillas) and the high-resolution

satellite imagery unlock. Buying Remote Mode grants the same Pro-level access to

    the Remote features.

Apple handles billing. To cancel, use iOS Settings → your name →

Subscriptions — AnchorQueen stays on the free tier when the paid period

    ends.

    Legacy App & Product Migration

With the launch of the unified AnchorQueen app (which merges the legacy standalone AnchorAlarm and SeaTracker platforms into a single unified workspace), we have streamlined our subscription plans and retired legacy products:

  • Legacy Purchases Retired: Standalone paid app downloads and older legacy in-app purchases are retired and no longer available for new sales.
  • 1-Year Pro Tier Transition: To honor our loyal long-time captains, if you previously purchased any legacy product or standalone app, your account is automatically upgraded to the new Pro tier for 1 full year at no additional cost.
  • Unlocking Pro Benefits: This complimentary transition grants you complete access to all modern Pro features, including the full Meteo weather alerts, Remote Anchor Watch, premium Jules AI budget, and 1 Free Nautical Chart Pack slot.
  • How to Activate: Simply download this new unified AnchorQueen app, sign in to your existing account, and tap Restore Purchases at the bottom of the Store tab if your Pro entitlement is not immediately active.
  • Charts — regions

The Charts section is a browsable catalog of chart regions — Mediterranean,

United States East Coast, Baltic, and so on. Each card shows:

  • A thumbnail of the area covered.
  • The download size.
  • A status badge — Available, Installed, or Update available.
  • Free Chart Packs Allowance

Depending on your subscription tier, you receive complimentary Free Chart Pack slots that allow you to unlock complete high-resolution chart regions without purchasing individual subscriptions:

  • Free Tier: 0 Free Chart Pack slots.
  • Pro Tier: 1 Free Chart Pack slot.
  • Max Tier: 3 Free Chart Pack slots.
  • If you wish to access more chart regions beyond your tier's free allowance, you can purchase individual yearly paid subscriptions ($14.99/year per region) with no limit on the number of regions you can hold.

The Permanent Slot Ledger (Anti-Cheat Policy)

To ensure fair play and prevent slot cycling exploits (such as repeatedly claiming, deleting, and cycling through regions), claimed free chart packs utilize a secure Permanent Slot Ledger:

  • Permanent Binding: Once you claim a free region in one of your allowance slots, that slot is permanently locked to that specific region ID.
  • Uninstall/Deletion Safety: Deleting local files or uninstalling the app does not free up a ledger slot.
  • Free Re-downloads: You can safely delete and re-download any of your claimed regions at any time for free. This allows you to manage your device's disk space dynamically without losing access to your chosen regions.
  • Personal Data is Safe: All personal data — including your waypoints, custom routes, and recorded anchorages — is stored locally, securely, and is never deleted or affected by changes to your chart license or subscription states.
  • Free for You — pinned section

When you are browsing the Store sub-tab, any region that costs you

nothing right now is lifted into a Free for You section pinned to the

top of the list (marked with a gift icon). This covers two cases:

  • Regions you already own — they show a GET button (just download, no
  • charge).

  • While you still have unused Free Chart Pack slots, every region you
  • do not yet own is claimable, so the catalog surfaces here with a

CLAIM FREE button. Once your slots are spent (or on the Free tier,

which has none), the section collapses and only owned regions remain.

The priced regions continue to appear below, grouped by coastline.

Tap a card to open the region detail sheet, which reads like a short cruising

    guide for the area:

  • A one-line tagline describing the cruising ground.
  • Coverage — the size of the area in nautical miles (W × H) and its
  • south-west → north-east corner coordinates, derived from the region's

    bounding box.

  • Countries covered, with flags.
  • Popular destinations — marquee ports and anchorages in the region.
  • What's inside — the data baked into the pack (bathymetry source,
  • coastline fusion, marinas, navaids, charted hazards).

  • Pricing or Free Slot Claim options.
  • Install, Update, or Delete buttons.
  • Progress bar while downloading; pause and cancel are available.
  • A region you install becomes available offline on every chart tab —

    SeaTracker, Capt's Notebook, and Merconi.

    My Charts — subscription status

Regions you have claimed or subscribed to appear under My Charts, and each card shows where its licensing status stands:

  • Renews or Subscribed (Green) — active direct paid subscription.
  • Expires (Orange) — active direct subscription that has been cancelled and will lapse on that date.
  • Free Pack Active ([Date]) (Green) — an active claimed free pack slot linked to your primary Pro/Max subscription. The expiration date matches your primary subscription's renewal cycle.
  • Free Pack Expired (Orange) — your primary Pro/Max subscription has lapsed, causing your claimed free packs to expire concurrently.
  • Renew · (Orange, tappable) — a direct chart subscription that has lapsed while the data is still on your device. The badge is a one-tap renew button: tap it to bring up Apple's purchase sheet and restore the subscription instantly (no re-download — the charts are already installed).
  • Expiration and Grace Period Lifecycle

To balance security with safety at sea, expired regions (both paid subscriptions and expired free packs) transition through a 3-state expiration lifecycle:

  • Active (Green): Normal full access. This includes high-accuracy offline rendering, active automated route planning (such as depth-aware and tide-aware pathfinding), and ongoing map updates.
  • Expired · Routing disabled (Orange - Grace Period up to 90 days):
  • Manual Navigation Safety: To ensure you are never left stranded at sea without a map, your downloaded charts remain fully visible and operational offline for manual navigation and visual inspection.
  • Automated Routing Disabled: Advanced pathfinding via the Depth-Aware Route Planner is disabled. You cannot calculate automated routes through this region.
  • Updates Blocked: You cannot download future chart updates for this region.
  • Expired · Locked (Red - 90+ days past expiration):
  • The region is completely locked, and its chart layers (depth contours, soundings, hazards, restrictions, etc.) are hidden from the map style.
  • Automated routing and updates remain blocked.
  • You can re-subscribe or renew your primary plan at any time to instantly unlock and display the chart layers again.
  • A chart's status updates automatically when it renews, when you cancel, or after a Restore Purchases.

    Jules Needs — token packs

Every plan gives Jules a daily token budget that resets each

day. If you run out before the reset — a long planning session, a busy

passage — the Jules Needs section sells one-time token packs that add

bonus capacity on top of your daily budget.

At the top, a usage panel shows where you stand today:

  • Used and left for the day.
  • Your daily budget (the amount that refills every day on your plan).
  • Your bonus balance — unused tokens from packs you have bought.
  • The daily reset time.
  • Below that are the packs — currently a Deckhand Pack and a larger,

better-value Navigator Pack. Tap Buy; Apple shows its own confirmation

sheet. As soon as the purchase clears, the tokens are added to your bonus

balance and the usage panel updates.

Token packs are a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Bonus tokens

never expire, and they are only drawn down after your daily plan budget is

used up — so a pack you buy today still helps weeks later.

    Updates

When new data is published for a region, an update badge appears on

the Store tab itself and on the region card. Tap Update to pull the

fresh data; the old install is replaced atomically.

A search bar narrows the catalog by name. Filter chips group regions by

    sea or continent.

    If something goes wrong

  • A purchase did not unlock the feature — tap Restore Purchases and
  • confirm you are signed in to the Apple ID you used to buy it.

  • A download stalls — pause and resume from the region detail sheet, or
  • cancel and start over on a better connection.

  • Installed regions are missing — check
  • Settings → Installed Regions.
