Captain — your profile

The Captain tab is your account home. It looks different depending on

whether you are signed in.

Signed in

When you are signed in the tab shows:

  • Profile card — your name, avatar, and sign-in status.
  • Preferences — language, units, theme. Pickers and toggles live

    • inline so changes apply immediately. The same preferences live in

    Settings, so set them in whichever place is more

    convenient.

  • Subscription status — the plan you are on, when it renews. Tapping this opens the premium Licenses Ledger.
  • Account settings — change password, two-factor auth, privacy.
  • Sign out at the bottom.

    Tapping the Subscription Status capsule on your profile card immediately launches the Licenses Ledger (SubscriptionLedgerSheet). This acts as the official visual accounting dashboard for your active App Store licenses, direct region purchases, and complimentary chart pack slot allocations.

    Complimentary Chart Pack Slots

    AnchorQueen premium memberships grant complimentary, permanent slot allocations for high-resolution chart regions:

    * AnchorQueen Free: 0 complimentary slots.

    * AnchorQueen Pro: 1 complimentary slot.

    * AnchorQueen Max: 3 complimentary slots.

    * AnchorQueen Grandmaster: Awarded to grandfathered lifetime accounts. Grants unlimited lifetime access with full capabilities.

    TIP
    Claiming a complimentary slot binds the chosen chart region to your active profile. Even if you delete local chart files to save disk space, the slot remains yours—re-downloading is always free and unconstrained.

    Slot Licensing States

    Each slot in the roster dynamically tracks the status of its bound license:

    * 🟢 Active (Expires ): The region is fully active with offline capabilities and passage planning.

    🟡 Expired · Routing Disabled: The region's subscription has expired. Offline viewing of vector charts remains fully active, but advanced Hybrid A-APF passage routing within the region is locked.

    * 🔴 Expired · Locked: The region's slot is expired and offline downloading is locked.

    IMPORTANT
    Data Integrity Policy: Personal waypoints, saved markers, custom routes, and voyage recordings are never locked out, restricted, or deleted upon subscription expiration or region lockouts. They are securely saved in your local SQLite/GRDB database and backed up in your private cloud account.

    When you are not signed in the tab is a sign-in screen:

  • Email and password fields.
  • Sign in button.
  • Create account link.
  • Forgot password link.
  • Sign in with Apple / Google (where available).

    • You need to be signed in to use Jules and the

    Remote sub-mode of SafeAnchor.

    AI Crew (Jules)

    Below your profile card is an AI Crew (Jules) card with a single control:

  • Your Gender — Not set, Male, or Female. Jules, your AI

    • marine officer, takes the opposite gender to the captain, so this is how

    you choose Jules' persona. *(This setting moved here from the Safe Anchor

    settings.)*

    This is separate from the Gender field in the [Safety Profile](#safety-profile)

    below — that one is a search-and-rescue datum, this one only shapes Jules.

    Safety Profile

    Tap the pencil on the profile card to edit your details. Below the

    basics is a Safety Profile section (SOLAS SAR / ISAF) — the

    information rescue services ask for first. It is optional, but a

    Complete safety profile prompt nudges you to fill it in.

  • Date of Birth — toggle on to set it.
  • Gender — Not set, Male, Female, Non-Binary, or Prefer Not to Say.
  • Blood Type — A/B/AB/O with ± or Unknown.
  • Emergency Contact — name, phone, email, and relationship.
  • Allow Jules to Notify — when on, Jules can send an alert to your

    • emergency contact during a distress event.

    Everything here stays on your device and in your synced account; it is

    shared only when you trigger a distress alert.

    Document Vault

    A private store for your ship's papers — reached from the Captain tab.

    Upload ICC, RYA, STCW certificates, insurance policies, vessel

    registration, and crew manifests, sorted into folders.

  • Vault Storage — up to 50 MB per account, shown as a usage bar

    • that turns orange near full.

  • Add — imports PDF, JPEG, or PNG files. Large uploads show a

    • progress percentage.

  • No documents yet appears until you add your first file.
  • Not enough vault space — if a file would exceed your 50 MB,

    • delete existing documents to free space or choose a smaller file.

    What signing in does

    Signing in connects your device to the AnchorQueen cloud so that:

  • Your Captain's Pass subscription unlocks across devices.
  • Jules can stream answers and remember conversation history.
  • Remote can connect your aboard and shore devices to each other.

    • Your sailing data on the chart and in Capt's Notebook stays on the device

    unless you choose to sync.

    If something goes wrong

  • Sign-in fails — check your password and that the device has a

    • connection.

  • Subscription does not appear after sign-in — tap Restore Purchases

    • in the Store.

  • A preference set here does not stick — check the same row in

    • Settings and make sure they agree.
