Fleet snapshot of September 28, 2026. Prices and availability change daily — the live list below is current.
The Split region is the centre of Croatian chartering. Bases in Split, Trogir, Kaštela and the town of Marina sit minutes from Split airport, and from any of them the classic central Dalmatian islands are a short sail away: Šolta and Brač across the channel, Hvar and the Pakleni islands to the south, and Vis and Korčula for a longer passage.
The fleet here is broad. Sailing yachts are the majority, but the region also has one of the largest catamaran fleets in the country and a good choice of gulets and motor yachts for skippered weeks. That makes it a good fit for groups mixing experienced sailors and first-timers.
A typical first week heads out to Maslinica on Šolta or Milna on Brač, continues to Hvar Town or Palmižana, crosses to Vis and returns via the south coast of Brač. The maestral usually fills in from the north-west in the afternoon, which makes the return leg towards Split a comfortable reach.

Which base in the Split region should I choose?
Kaštela and Trogir are closest to the airport and usually quieter to leave from on a Saturday; Split's marinas put you in the city for a night before departure. All of them are within a few miles of each other, so choose by boat and price rather than location.
How far is Hvar from Split by boat?
Roughly 20 nautical miles to Hvar Town or the Pakleni islands — a comfortable half-day sail in most summer conditions.
Is the Split region good for a first bareboat charter?
Yes, with some care: distances between islands are short and shelter is easy to find, but the channels get busy in July and August and the bura can arrive quickly. A flotilla or a skippered first week is a sensible alternative.
How many charter boats are available in Split Region?
1,815 boats are based in Split Region in our latest fleet snapshot, from operators including Cata Sailing, Croatia Yachting, Split Yacht Charter.
How much does a yacht charter in Split Region cost?
Nightly prices start at €97 for a boat with cabins; a typical boat here costs about €171 a night, roughly €1,197 for a Saturday-to-Saturday week. July and August cost more, and skipper, fuel and extras are usually on top.
Which boat types can I charter in Split Region?
The fleet here includes: Sailing yacht (715), Catamaran (415), Motorboat (309), Motor yacht (281), Gulet (71), Power catamaran (24).
