Yes. Once you've downloaded a region, the charts and the routing engine run entirely on-device — a memory-mapped binary depth grid means no network calls during a passage. Jules defaults to cloud Gemini for conversations; on iOS 26+ Apple Intelligence devices Jules can run on-device instead.

Four risk presets (Conservative, Balanced, Aggressive, Shortest) let you trade clearance against distance. A three-level relaxation cascade is designed to still produce a dock-to-dock route when the start or end is inside a shallow harbour — but the cascade is transparent, so you always know which level produced the route.

No. AnchorQueen runs standalone on your iPhone's GPS. NMEA 0183 WiFi support and AIS integration are on the near-term roadmap — when they ship, you'll be able to plug into an existing on-board network, not that you need to.
