Marmaris International Race Week
From 24 to 30 October 2026, Marmaris International Yacht Club runs its race week in Marmaris Bay: registration at the weekend, then daily races from Monday. An independent guide for spectators and visiting sailors.

The course
- Daily courses in and off Marmaris Bay, set by the race committee for the day's wind. Over five days the week mixes shorter bay races with longer coastal races, per the race documents.
Where to watch
- The Marmaris waterfront and marina pontoons are the easiest place to see the fleet leave and return.
- The castle area and the headlands at the bay entrance give a wider view of starts and finishes.
- On the water, keep clear of the start area and follow the race committee's instructions.
AIS and following the fleet
- We found no public live tracker listed on the organiser's site when checked in October 2026; the organiser publishes entries, documents and results there.
- Because racing stays close to Marmaris, AIS may show some yachts near the bay where shore receivers cover the coast. Not every yacht broadcasts AIS, and a boat missing from an AIS map can still be racing.
- Boat names repeat. If you follow one yacht, check its flag, boat type and MMSI rather than the name alone.
What to expect
- An international fleet across ORC and charter divisions; the organiser publishes the entry list online with boat, skipper, class, model and sail number.
- Daily racing in and off Marmaris Bay, so the fleet is close to shore and often visible from the waterfront.
- Prize-giving each evening, per the organiser's programme.
Plan your visit
- The organiser lists registration and safety checks on 24-25 October, race documents and the skippers' briefing on 25 October, and races from Monday 26 to Friday 30 October, starting at 12:00 each day.
- Checked October 2026 on the organiser's site; the programme and courses are set by the race office, so confirm before you go.
Sailing nearby: Turunc, Icmeler and the Datca peninsula
Turunc and Icmeler, west of Marmaris, are short sails along the coast and popular day stops in settled weather.
West towards Datca the coast opens up; autumn weather can change quickly, so plan with a forecast and check harbour rules locally. Checked October 2026.
