Fleet snapshot of September 28, 2026. Prices and availability change daily — the live list below is current.
Muğla province covers almost the whole of Turkey's south-west charter coast, and it is best understood as a series of separate cruising grounds rather than one. From west to east: the Bodrum peninsula and the Gulf of Gökova; the Datça peninsula; the indented Hisarönü and Bozburun gulfs around Orhaniye and Bozburun; Marmaris; and the Fethiye and Göcek gulfs at the eastern end.
The fleet is shaped by that tradition. Gulets are the largest single group — more than a third of the boats — and many motor yachts are also chartered with crew, while sailing yachts and catamarans cluster in Marmaris, Fethiye, Göcek and Orhaniye. Fethiye, Bodrum, Göcek and Marmaris hold the largest fleets.
Winds differ between the gulfs. The western side, around Bodrum and Datça, is open to the Aegean and feels the summer meltem as a fresh north-westerly in the afternoons. East of Marmaris the gulfs are more enclosed and the breeze is usually lighter, which is why Göcek and Fethiye are popular for relaxed weeks. Bodrum and Dalaman airports serve the two ends of the province.

Which part of Muğla should I choose?
Göcek and Fethiye for sheltered, short-hop cruising; Marmaris, Orhaniye and Bozburun for quieter gulfs and a mix of sailing and anchoring; Bodrum and Gökova for livelier winds and the largest choice of gulets.
Can I sail between Bodrum and Göcek in one week?
It is possible as a one-way charter, but it means long days rounding the Datça and Bozburun peninsulas, where the meltem can be strong. Most crews explore one or two gulfs in a week instead.
Do I need a licence for a gulet charter?
No. Gulets are chartered with a crew who handle the boat. A recognised sailing licence is needed only for a bareboat yacht or catamaran.
How many charter boats are available in Mugla Province?
