Fleet snapshot of September 28, 2026. Prices and availability change daily — the live list below is current.
Thailand's charter scene centres on Phuket and the Andaman Sea. From the island's east coast, Phang Nga Bay is a short sail away, with its limestone karst islands, sea caves and sheltered anchorages, and a longer day south-east brings the Phi Phi islands, Krabi and Koh Lanta within reach. The water is warm year-round and most passages are short.
The bases are on Phuket's sheltered east side: Ao Po Grand Marina, Yacht Haven Marina, Boat Lagoon and Royal Phuket Marina, plus Chalong and Panwa piers in the south. On the Gulf of Thailand side there are smaller fleets at Ocean Marina Jomtien near Pattaya, Koh Chang and Koh Samui. Catamarans are the largest group, with a good number of motor yachts and a smaller choice of monohulls.
The Andaman season follows the monsoon. From about November to April the north-east monsoon brings dry weather, light to moderate breezes and calm seas; from May to October the south-west monsoon brings rain and a westerly swell onto exposed anchorages, although Phang Nga Bay stays relatively sheltered.

Questions about chartering here
When is the best time to sail in Thailand?
On the Andaman side around Phuket, November to April is the dry season with calm seas. May to October is wetter and swellier on the west coast; Phang Nga Bay is the most sheltered area then.
Where do charters in Thailand start?
Most start on Phuket's east coast, at Ao Po Grand Marina, Yacht Haven Marina, Boat Lagoon or Royal Phuket Marina, all well placed for Phang Nga Bay. Smaller fleets operate from Pattaya, Koh Chang and Koh Samui in the Gulf of Thailand.
Is Thailand suitable for a first charter?
Yes, with some care: distances are short and conditions in the dry season are gentle, but some areas have reefs, fishing gear and tidal currents. A skipper or local briefing is a good idea for the first few days.
How many charter boats are available in Thailand?
297 boats are based in Thailand in our latest fleet snapshot, from operators including Cruise Asia Marine, Island Spirit Charters, Aqua Charters Thailand.
How much does a yacht charter in Thailand cost?

Which boat types can I charter in Thailand?
The fleet here includes: Catamaran (131), Motor yacht (81), Sailing yacht (36), Power catamaran (25), Motorboat (24).
