Fleet snapshot of September 28, 2026. Prices and availability change daily — the live list below is current.
Puerto Rico's charter fleet is small and centred on the east coast, around Fajardo, where Marina Puerto del Rey is the main base. From here the Spanish Virgin Islands — Culebra and Vieques — lie a short sail to the east, with some of the clearest water and quietest beaches in the region, and the US and British Virgin Islands are within reach for longer trips.
The fleet is a mix of catamarans, motor boats, motor yachts and a few sailing yachts, many of them chartered with a skipper for day trips to the offshore cays near Fajardo, such as Icacos and Palomino, or for short cruises to Culebra. Nearby reefs and cays make snorkelling a regular part of any outing.
The trade winds blow from the east for much of the year, so the passage out to Culebra is often upwind and the return downwind. The main season runs from about December to May; the Atlantic hurricane season runs from June to November.
