Fleet snapshot of September 28, 2026. Prices and availability change daily — the live list below is current.
Norway is expedition sailing rather than island-hopping. The fleet is small and mostly sailing yachts, with a group of motor yachts, and many boats are offered with a skipper, which reflects the waters: deep fjords, exposed coast and long distances north of the Arctic Circle.
Tromsø is the main base, well above the Arctic Circle. From here, skippered voyages head into the fjords and islands of Troms, towards the Lyngen Alps, with the midnight sun in summer and, on some trips, whales and northern lights later in the year. Bergen is the base for the fjords of western Norway, including routes into the Hardangerfjord and Sognefjord areas and along the sheltered inner channels of the coast.
The main sailing season is June to August, when the days are longest and the weather mildest; northern trips are also run in spring and autumn. Weather can change quickly along the coast, fjord winds can funnel and gust, and harbours are further apart than in southern waters, so good preparation and a flexible plan matter more here than a fixed route.
