Fleet snapshot of September 28, 2026. Prices and availability change daily — the live list below is current.
Malta is a compact cruising ground of three inhabited islands — Malta, Gozo and Comino — set in open water between Sicily and North Africa. The charter fleet is small, around 70 boats, split between sailing yachts, catamarans and motor yachts, and concentrated in and around Valletta's harbours: Ta' Xbiex and Kalkara in the Marsamxett and Grand Harbour area, Sliema, and Portomaso Marina at St Julian's.
Leaving from Valletta means sailing out past the bastions of one of the Mediterranean's most striking harbour cities. Most weeks and day trips head north-west along the coast to Comino and its Blue Lagoon, then on to Gozo, with anchorages at Mġarr ix-Xini, Dwejra and Ramla Bay. The south coast of Malta, with its fishing harbour at Marsaxlokk, makes a different day out.
The season is long, from April to November. The prevailing wind is the majjistral, a north-westerly that can freshen in the afternoon, and the islands have few harbours of refuge on their exposed sides, so anchorages are chosen according to the wind. Malta International Airport is a short drive from all the bases.
