Fleet snapshot of September 28, 2026. Prices and availability change daily — the live list below is current.
Indonesia is liveaboard territory rather than bareboat country. The fleet is made up of crewed boats — many of them phinisi, the traditional wooden schooners of the archipelago, alongside motor yachts — chartered with cabins, a cook and a guide for multi-day cruises. That explains the high nightly prices: they cover the boat, the crew and usually full board.
Labuan Bajo on Flores is the main base, the gateway to Komodo National Park: rugged islands, pink-sand beaches, manta and dive sites, and the Komodo dragons on Komodo and Rinca. Sorong in West Papua is the departure port for Raja Ampat, one of the richest reef areas in the world, and a smaller fleet sails from Bali, around Serangan and Denpasar.
Seasons differ by region. Around Komodo the drier months run roughly from April to November, while Raja Ampat is generally at its calmest from about October to April. Itineraries are set by the crew, who know the currents, which can be strong in the straits between the islands.
