Fleet snapshot of September 28, 2026. Prices and availability change daily — the live list below is current.
Costa Rica's fleet listed here is small and based on the Pacific coast, at Marina Papagayo in Guanacaste, on the Gulf of Papagayo in the north-west of the country. The coast is a string of bays and beaches backed by dry tropical forest, with a few small offshore islands, and the fleet is made up mainly of crewed motor yachts, with a few catamarans.
Charters here are usually day trips or short private cruises: along the coast to secluded beaches for swimming and snorkelling, sport fishing offshore, or sunset cruises. Because boats come with a crew, no licence is needed, and the nightly prices reflect a crewed, whole-boat charter rather than a bareboat week.
The dry season on the Pacific coast runs from about December to April, when sunny weather is almost guaranteed. It is also the season of the Papagayo winds, strong north-easterly gusts that funnel across the land and can make the gulf choppy; the crew will pick sheltered spots on windy days. The rest of the year is the green season, with afternoon rain.
